Will it blow inside out?

No, our stick umbrellas shouldn’t blow inside out. However, there is the exception of our collapsible Metro model which may flip inside out in certain winds but it has been designed so that if it does, it can be easily flipped back without damaging the structure!

How does it get its shape?

Our iconic shape is all thanks to the patented technology of our Blunt™ tips. They open like miniature umbrellas within custom pockets at the canopy edge, performing multiple purposes to make the Blunt™ Umbrella what it is. To learn more about our design see here.

Where are BLUNT Umbrellas manufactured?

BLUNT Umbrellas are designed in NZ and manufactured near Xiamen in China. Given the expertise and skill needed to produce BLUNT Umbrellas (they are still hand stitched unlike ordinary umbrellas) we use the best experts to manufacture and produce our umbrellas.
We have been with our supply partners for over 12 years now and they have helped BLUNT to prosper in the face of many challenges' small businesses face. BLUNT would not be here today if it weren’t for them.

Do you make a compact one that will fit in my handbag?

Yes, we do. This is our Metro Umbrella and can be found here. It's perfect for backpacks, satchels, laptop bags, shoppers and medium to larger handbags.

Do you sell UV umbrellas? / What’s the UV rating on your umbrellas?

We don’t currently sell UV specific umbrellas, though are hoping to release some products later in the year. Please sign up to our newsletter here to receive all updates.
As for our current collection, they do offer some UV block depending on the colour canopy, see below for the percentage of UV they block. (In order from most to least).

Which umbrellas come with carry sleeves?

Our Limited edition models, Exec, Sport and Classic Seasonal models all come with carry sleeves. Our collapsible Metro model also comes with a matching cover sleeve to keep protected while in your bag. Our core range Coupe and Classic models do not come with carry sleeves.

Are your umbrellas vegan?

Yes, none of our umbrellas contain any animal by-products.

Where do you ship to?

How long does it take to ship?

VIC / NSW / ACT Metro: 2-3 Business days
QLD / SA / WA / TAS Metro : 3-5 Business days
NT Metro : 5-7 Business Days
VIC / ACT / NSW / QLD / SA / WA / TAS / NT Regional: Up to 10 business days
Orders placed after midday on a Friday, anytime on a Saturday, Sunday or on a public holiday will be processed the next working day.

Warranty

Do BLUNT Umbrellas come with a warranty?

Yes, confident our products are the best in class, we back all our BLUNT Umbrellas with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Do I need to register my Umbrella for warranty?

Yes, you can register your BLUNT Umbrella here for us to keep your purchase on record so that if anything were to happen, you’re covered. If you haven’t registered your BLUNT, please make sure you have proof of purchase or if gifted, the details of who gifted it to you for reference.

Returns + Exchanges

I ordered the wrong size can I exchange it?

We try our best to offer as much sizing information as we can from model to model, however, understand that things happen. If you wish to exchange your order, please, get in touch with our team at info@bluntumbrellas.com to help you exchange for the right size.
Please note, exchanges will only be processed within 30 days from the purchase date and if items are in original, resellable condition and in its original unmarked box with hang tags. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer, unless faulty or sent an incorrect item.
Exchanges only apply to purchases made online at bluntumbrellas.com.au We do not accept returns from Stockists/resellers. Please get in touch with your original place of purchase to do so.

Gifting

I’m buying a BLUNT as a gift, can you send it directly to them for me?

We can send it directly to them for you, however, please note packing slips are included in all packages and our distribution center is not currently able to add personal notes.

Do you gift wrap?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer gift wrapping.

Do you offer gift cards?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer gift cards.

How do I keep my BLUNT looking it’s best?

My dog has chewed my handle, can you repair it?

You’d be surprised how many dogs mistake the handles for chew toys, though not to worry, our umbrellas are fully repairable, please get in touch with our team at info@bluntumbrellas.com who can help get your BLUNT back to full function.

I’ve lost the cap on the end of my BLUNT, do you sell replacements?

Our BLUNT Head Office is based out of Auckland, New Zealand, though we have country management in Australia, and the UK, as well as distribution in another 20 markets across North America, Europe, and Asia to help our customers on the ground globally.

What sustainability measures do you take?

Sustainability isn’t just a buzz word here at BLUNT, it’s part of our fabric and it’s reflected through the way we design everything we do. Aside from designing umbrellas that last, they are built to be fully repairable, with the intention to repair them wherever we can and to avoid ending up in landfills. We also take sustainability measures when it comes to our packaging, sourcing fully recyclable carton boxes, that are strong and sturdy enough to be re-used. Greig, our founder, also designed the carton ends to have a second use, when they’re not being re-used for packaging, they can also be used as a handy phone holder.
